Jasper Minor Sports was registered as a non-profit society in 2003 with the mission to provide a home for youth sports in Jasper. Current sports under the JMS umbrella are hockey, soccer, and baseball.
In the summer of 2026, the volunteer JMS Board underwent a strategic planning exercise to help us guide our programs and policies.

Priorities
Jasper Minor Sports’ priorities for 2026-2030 are to:
- increase player numbers and retention
- maintain or increase affordability and access to minor sports
- ensure sustainability in volunteering (including for the board, coaches, and other volunteers)
- enhance our registration and participation pipeline
By adhering to these, our vision for 2030 is that Jasper Minor Sports is a thriving, sustainable organization where all youth have a local place to learn sport, create bonds, develop lifelong skills, and grow up knowing they have a team.
